Hector Saldivar is a Soccer Coach with multiple levels of experience. A Houston native, Saldivar went to Dobie High School where he helped his team to win, 2 District Titles and 4 Tournament Championships. Dobie also managed to reach the Regional Semifinal in 2009 and the Regional Final in 2011. Saldivar also won an impressive amount of individual awards at his time at Dobie, those include a 2nd Team All-District in 2011, 1st Team All-District in 2012, 22-5A 2012 Goalkeeper of the Year, 1st Team All-State Goalkeeper in 2012. In 2012 Saldivar helped Dobie reach a 4th place ranking in the National High School poll. Saldivar is the only soccer player who has a 1st Team All-State inclusion in the history of the program.

After graduating, Saldivar went on to play at San Jacinto College from 2012-2014. During Saldivar’s time at San Jacinto the team made it to the national tournament where they finished 3rd. it so far has been San Jacinto’s most successful season. Saldivar is finishing a Bachelors in Communication at UHCL. Saldivar has also played for other notable clubs such as: Soccer Centro, Space City, South Belt Select, Houstonians, United Alliance and Club Alianza

Coach Saldivar started his coaching career with the youth teams at Texas United Fc. Saldivar also trains individual high school and college level athletes. As of 2016, Saldivar has joined the Girls Soccer program at Dobie High School. Saldivar has taken the role as Varsity Assistant where he is hoping to continue for quite some time.
